Momentus Management Consulting has received a major client assignment to formulate a so-called Customer Relationship Management Strategy, for a leading Swedish company that provides spare parts and services to crowners. That company has the ambition to increase its revenues significantly by means of increased customer-base, which in turn is translated into two customer-related objectives: to retain current customers and to acquire new customers. In order to attain these two business objectives, the senior management team of the company aims to develop new CRM-operations. In its ambition to reach these intentions, the senior management team turned to Momentus as a partner in the process of development of the company’s CRM operations.
The first phase within the development of CRM-oriented business operations shall generate a strategy that prescribes to content of the desired CRM-operations, which will constitute a compass needle for all developmental work. This CRM-strategy shall characterise the desired customer segments, including their needs, wants and buying criteria. These in turn shall motivate the formulation of new and of modified current value propositions, in terms of value adding services. The CRM-strategy shall also specify the operations needed for the company in order to interact and to cooperate with its customer segments. These operations will be characterised in terms of processes and its constituting activities together with the various resources needed to conduct professional delivery to the customer. Finally, the plan shall present a set of relevant metrics aiming to enable deliberate measurement, evaluation and command of the operations, in line with the set CRM-objectives.
